LonesomeLeather Report post Posted July 13, 2015 My wife wanted some leather of her own... this is pretty no-frills, but it does dovetail nicely with the "form follows function" philosophy that I believe in. I enjoyed this one, and I plan some more intricate purse/ handbag projects in the future.

LonesomeLeather Report post Posted July 13, 2015 (edited) Thank you:) I think she enjoys it, she said maybe a little slimmer would be nice. Always a learner... plus some decent advertising! Edited July 13, 2015 by LonesomeLeather
McSkiver Report post Posted July 30, 2015 Nice job, just something I've learnt with bags , the weak point is your straps and ladies tend to overload bags, so extra stitching or rivets to secure the straps always help.

smirak Report post Posted July 31, 2015 What's the leather for that bag? Wife likes it and wants me to do something similar. Kevin
LonesomeLeather Report post Posted August 2, 2015 Thanks folks! Yeah, I have some questions about how best to attach straps... I was reading in the saddle construction section that a crossing row of stitches (like I did) is like sayin "tear at dotted line" The leather is from a utility side that was on sale at Tandy, sort of an oily waxy pull-up finish, maybe 3oz... no name for the color though, sorry
