Thought a few of you might like seeing this. Maverick had some nice chocolate colored shark at a good price so I scooped up a side hoping for a use. Here it's seen over Havana W&C skirting for a nice contrast. The belt is a plastic lined 1.75' with a brace of mag pouches to finish it off. Final finish is angelus acrylic. The customer is a semi-local LEO customer and got me in good graces with the sheriff for a few more orders.

Critiques and comments welcome as always.

At first glance it looks beautiful. Give me a couple days. Might find something wrong.

Very nice like the double stitched belt. Would you mind explaining the plastic linning. Also, the brace on the belt for the mag pouches. Once again awesome work..

Thanks Red!

The only thing wrong is I usually come here to get away from talk of sharks. :dunno:

At least that shark can't bite anyone now. lol Nice work.

Sorry for chuckling at your expense Jason!

Hey LT, some folks use banding of the metal or plastic variety. I line them with pipe hanger getting good results. Brace is just a fancy way of saying pair.

I don't like it. It... uh... I don't... uh, damn, is my jealousy showing again?!

All kidding aside, very nice work!

That just has an incredible style to it. I looked at some of your other stuff as well, really clean and unique look to it that is just truly appealing. I can only hope to do as well someday. Thanks for sharing!

I know what a pipe cleaner is as back in the day 40 years ago we passed a few pipes around, but a pipe hanger?

Looking at your work, and your time joined on the forum, no doubts that you'll surpass me if you stay at it. Leather isn't science most of the time just a lot of experience!

I'm sure there are a lot of different terminologies for the strap, like so: http://www.amazon.com/Oatey-33925-Plastic-Bagged-25-Feet/dp/B000MIUCG2/ref=sr_1_sc_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1437743934&sr=8-1-spell&keywords=plastic+pipe+hangar

Ah-ha! I know that stuff! I always heard it called plumber's tape.

Hey, is that why the belt-buckle holes are so close together? They match with the holes in the hanger (tape)?

Red, the holes in the hanger are roughly half inch, I space belt holes at 3/4" for more adjustment. Some folks do it at 1", just personal preference. The plastic starts about 6" from the buckle fold and ends roughly 1" from the first hole.
