Members Bullfinch Posted August 23, 2015 Members Report Posted August 23, 2015 Hello everyone. Another greeting from Lancashire UK, but also from Poland which is where I come from. I can't believe I stumbled into this site by accident, it is amazing. I already learned couple of usefull tricks and I just started to browse around *browses madly*. My passion for everything leather started about two years ago, when I got my first, basic leather stamping set for Christmass. When I say it, it feels like a children story ("when I got my first fire truck when I was little..." :} ). Anyway it took me over and I started to create things for fun. Now I'm thinking, like probably every one of us about selling some of my works. What do you think? Am I ready? There's coupe of things that I've done over the years: Quote
King's X Posted August 23, 2015 Report Posted August 23, 2015 Hello and welcome to the forum. Nice work you have shown there.....Keep it up! Quote
Members MonicaJacobson Posted August 24, 2015 Members Report Posted August 24, 2015 Nice work! Of course, you're "ready" as soon as someone will buy something you've made. Most of us have started out small, selling things to people for the price of materials until we feel confident our work will last in someone's hands for long enough to start raising our prices. I used my first bag for a year or two, and that helped build my confidence in the longevity of my own products. The higher the demand for your products, the more you can charge. It's really up to you. Quote

I actually sold couple of my items or gave some of them away as presents, so you're right - that made me think "this maybe worth pursuing" as a way to get some more money for even more leather :D.
