Members pizzaman Posted September 16, 2015 Members Report Posted September 16, 2015 Hi, I'm new to working with leather and about to start my first project. I'm trying to do some costing on a pair of shoes I want to make to figuire out what the exact input cost will be. This is what I have in mind (see below). How many pairs of shoes can one make on average with a piece of leather 1 meter by 1 meter (3.2 foot by 3.2 foot). Any guidance will be much appreciated Quote
dirtclod Posted September 16, 2015 Report Posted September 16, 2015 If their all going to be one size, you can make your pattern and mark out the patterns on a paper that same size and get close to how many pairs i would guess. Something you haven't listed is tools, thread, soles, your time, laces, heels, tacks, glue / cement, someplace to work if don't have a place at least one pair of last if you just make one size. Good luck i hope it works out good for you. Quote
