carr52 Report post Posted December 6, 2008 I've dyed everything brown for so long I'd forgotten there were other colors. So I decided to try out the airbrush on a stencil and see what happened. I sprayed it first then carved it. Tom

CitizenKate Report post Posted December 6, 2008 You can make your own airbrush stencils easily by printing out or tracing your design onto a page-sized label, then with an Xacto knife, cutting out the parts where you want the dye to go. To use the stencil, peel off the backing and press it on the project so the lines match up. That's one way, anyway... Kate

carr52 Report post Posted December 8, 2008 I found something to do with the Pheonix. I cut the bad spot off a side that I got last week and made a bag out of it and just used the pheonix as the flap. I used a round braid to do the bag and join the flap to it. I'll use an "S" braid to join the flap and bag together. Put on some tabs for the strap and there you have it.
