After I saw a video on youtube about why guys as we get older should have a man bag it got me thinking about it. I like breinging my tablet out with me to read on when I get bored, and I am at the stage of not quite needing t wear glasses full time but I need them to see anything small if the lighting sucks.

So I have decided to make a crossbody/Sling backpack similar to this http://leatherworker.net/forum/index.php?showtopic=61849&hl=%2Bbackpack+%2Bpattern 14" tall, 9" wide by 6" deep. Just big enough to carry a change of clothes if I stay out for the night...a pocket on one side and an area to hold a water bottle on the other.

Now my question is without much of an overlap of the top if it rains is it going to get wet inside? I was debating ideas of making the top a separate piece and be 1 inch wider so it would give it a half in ch on each side...or taper the top in a bit .

Any suggestions?

thanks
