Nice sheath, interesting style. The blade is very reminiscent of the old Schrade Old Timer Sharpfinger knives. The sheath is a good match for that style of blade. Nice work.

Is purely utilitarian, EDC

An old timer is exactly what it was called, i like the blade style, sharp, small, for just utility or quartering game,

I just wanted a basic sheath that was soft and light and would keep the knife in it no matter what i was doing, its definitely not the prettiest thing, does have a belt loop on the back, stitchings a little crooked but it aint fer looks,,,,

I like the handle to ride high so when im on the tractor or in my truck its not in the way,

I had a lot of stitching issues when I started out, best investment by far that I've made was a set of diamond hole chisels (pricking irons). I bought the cheap set from Tandy that comes with a handle and 10 different heads that thread on to it. This made a huge difference in my stitching. It helps keep the holes even and straight although it can still get away from you if you don't keep the chisel vertical when punching the holes. Tandy has it on sale right now for $56 if it's something you're interested in. Item # is 3009-00. Probably though you'll find the spacing you like best and not use the rest of the chisels, this is what happened with me. There's 3 chisels I use in the set and all the same spacing, there's a 2, 4 and 6 hole chisel for each spacing.

By the way those old Schrade Sharpfingers were great knives, worked great for dressing and skinning game. It really is a shame about Schrade production leaving the US.

Got a set of them, have a couple VB pricking irons too,

Actually just honed and polished my narrowest set of the tandy punches so its smooth and makes smaller holes when i want to bang it through whatever im making, my biggest problem with this thing going wonky was because i was lazy to build a punching jig for this sheath or to glue the welt and stitch line, so was punching the holes on the edge of my workbench and the piece wasnt exactly flat because of the belt loop and keeper,

Its a learning experience
