Arbor Press & Brass Stamp Vs Heat Embosser

Looking for some input as to the preferable method of logo stamping into latigo and bridle leathers. In the market to have a stamp made, and wondering whether a regular arbor press + stamp, or a heat embosser + stamp would be the better route to go.

Any advice is much appreciated!

We do a lot of embossing on 10 - 12 latigo and bridal. We have plates made at https://www.owosso.com/ Then we use a 25 ton clicker press which gives us a very nice embossing ..

I emboss all of my products with a hot embosser. Especially with chrome tan leathers, the heat makes a real difference. I also have clicker presses, but have not tried them for embossing, but agree they would work well if adjusted carefully.

A hand held unit would be more versatile, you can use it on larger objects.

Hi, do you use brass or magnesium plates in your clicker press. I have tried some delerin plastic plates in mine. However, I'm not satisfied with their impression (to deep). The company you are using (Owosso)do they serve overseas customers? And how are they on price.
