Members orkan Posted February 18, 2016 Members Report Posted February 18, 2016 (edited) One of my shell cordovan hides was stored with some papers against it. Four years later, I peel the papers off and the surface is gritty feeling and some color has come off. Is there a way to restore this? Edited February 18, 2016 by orkan Quote
Members tops Posted February 21, 2016 Members Report Posted February 21, 2016 This also happens if you stretch cordovan by hands, for example. I suppose it can be cured with strong wax polish or 'liquid leather'. Quote

I suppose it can be cured with strong wax polish or 'liquid leather'. Thank you for the recommendation. Will the polish only mask the damage temporarily or restore it? I don't expect fully stored but at least less gritty feeling Quote
