Singer 45K1 Won't Do Backstitch

Recommended Posts

Hello.

I'm having trouble with a Singer 45k1. I just can't make it feed reverse.

I can alter the stitch length by moving the screw but if I move it to the very top of the slot to make it go reverse it just stitch on one spot.

The feeder moves up and down but that's it. No motion backwards what so ever...

I have a manual for a singer 45k and that machine seems to have an adjustment screw which my machine don't and now I am out of ideas.

I can't find a maual for my machine either :(

Please excuse my english and help me out the best you can please :)

/Robin.

The machine is a flat bed if it makes any difference.

The 45K1 has NO reverse it is a forward stitch only machine you cannot reverse it. There are several 45K models (flat bed and cylinder bed) but most do not have a reverse function.
