Had this saddle brought to me. Looks like a McClellan but has no ID or makers mark o n it. The only markings are the initials W.J.M. on the tree.

I may well be wrong but it might be McClellan mule saddle or a McClellan artillery saddle with a horn added.

There is website for the society of the military horse that seems to have a lot of info.
