Members x101airborne Posted March 9, 2016 Members Report Posted March 9, 2016 Love the antique look. I like a holster that looks like it has seen use. Only thing I would suggest, and this is from years as a LEO, eventually you will want to move that retention strap away from your grip. For general field use it is ok where it is, but for quick service, a retention strap under your hand is going to make you shift your grip before using the weapon. Great job on your first ones. My first one is so ugly I threw it in a box and started over. Quote
Members panku82 Posted March 9, 2016 Author Members Report Posted March 9, 2016 Thanks 101airborne I appreciate the advice. So do you recommend the retention go over top on the back of the slide or do you have another retention method that would be better? Quote

For a retention strap I use a thumb break type strap over the back of the slide. My holsters are generally pancake style or IWB holsters though. Stu Quote
