Members craftsman827 Posted March 28, 2016 Members Report Posted March 28, 2016 (edited) I'm looking for a good overstitch tool, to make marks in my leather, that looks like stitching. I have 2 types of Tandy overstitch tools. One is sized, 5 per inch etc. the other tool has changeable wheels, to change the size. The single size has worn out at the wheel pin, so it does not work good no more. I'm looking for a good tool that won't wear out, & will make a good stitch mark in the leather, for when I don't want to stitch, just want the look of stitching. Any suggestions ? For a good tool maker. Edited March 28, 2016 by craftsman827 forgot a line Quote
Members tntsl Posted March 28, 2016 Members Report Posted March 28, 2016 The older Gomph overstitch tools are the best I've used. They give a nice, deep, consistent impression. Quote

Members billybopp Posted March 28, 2016 Members Report Posted March 28, 2016 Gomph has been out of business for about 50-60 years, so it has to be used if that's what you want. Bruce Johnson usually has some of their tools, tho. Bill Quote
