Members xshadowx Posted April 13, 2016 Members Report Posted April 13, 2016 I am making some wallets (Roper and Biker Style) and I would like to get some information from those of you with a lot more experience than me. I will be using interiors that I purchased (Chaylor Fenneli) and I would like to know if I should glue the interior to the cover of the wallet or just stitch it around the outside edges. I have seen it done both ways but I would like to get some opinions on this. I have recently started doing leather work again and am learning a lot from the people on this forum. Any help would be appreciated. Quote
Contributing Member JLSleather Posted April 13, 2016 Contributing Member Report Posted April 13, 2016 Might depend on which interiors you bought. I glue 'em. But then I also rip out that goofy cardboard junk they put in there (it's fine to keep it flat for shipping, then it gotta go). Quote "Observation is 9/10 of the law." Members Halitech Posted April 13, 2016 Members Report Posted April 13, 2016 glue them and then stitch. Much easier then having the parts flopping around while trying to stitch them into place Quote Every day you learn something is a good day. If you don't learn something every day, was it worth waking up for?
Members xshadowx Posted April 13, 2016 Author Members Report Posted April 13, 2016 That is exactly what I thought. I just wanted to get the opinion of the experts before I ruined a project( I'm good at that). I'll keep tryin' and learnin'. Thanks Quote
