Color Issues on Armor

Recommended Posts

So im making armor with a moderately thick leather. I'm trying to get part of my leather to a super exact light blue color. I was wondering what j should do to achieve that. Should I try leather paint and mix it to the right color?

To achieve "super exact" results, I'd say paint. Dye will vary with the leather it is applied to, but you usually get more precision results with paint.

This is true.  However, paint will not age with the leather, so you may end up with a very stark contrast between now and later in its service life.  IF you're looking to achieve a more precise color, look into spraying the color.  This completely changes how most dyes look, especially blues.  Also, to add on to the cyberwolfe, starting with the lightest color leather is your best option.
