plinkercases Report post Posted May 23, 2016 (edited) Folks this always happens to me. I cruse through a post and see something and then cant find my way back to the post if I haven't marked it. So last 2 week or so I saw a post where a saddle maker had included a section drawing showing the build up of his seat inlay.. I think the top side was suede. It show foam layers (even mentioned what was used as the padding) and backers and how it was sewn to the main seat cover.... really would like to find it again. I have trying all kinds of key work searches with no luck. Anyone know this post? Thanks in advance. Edited May 23, 2016 by plinkercases
Big Sioux Saddlery Report post Posted May 23, 2016 (edited) If you haven't already found it, I typed in "inlaid saddle seat" but without the quotes, and rdl123's blog on his second saddle comes up as a search result. He includes a very nice detailed drawing of the layers he used. As I am computer illiterate I don't know how to include a link here to it. rdl123 Report post Posted May 23, 2016 (edited) Hello, Here is the section I drew... Not sure is this is what you were after. Also it says 1.4" foam - It should be 1/4" of foam R Edited May 23, 2016 by rdl123
