I am trying to upgrade my wallet making from cut edges to turned edge, I am having difficulty making the miter cuts. I can NOT find any videos on You Tube or leather working sites. I have searched every book I can find. You guys are my last hope, HELP PLEASE.

Oh my goodness, I can't believe no one has answered this one!

While I haven't done one yet, I plan to, and in fact have started.  I think there are a couple of ways, here is one (not my preferred, but it works as you can see)

and another, with an upclose of the corners in construction:

and finally, the method I think I'll be trying, which has an angled miter:

Hope this helps!

Saving these videos for later. Thanks, Y.

I'm not paying 80 bucks for a belt!!! It's a strip of leather. How hard could it be? 4 years and 3 grand later.... I have a belt I can finally live with.

Stitching is like gravy, it's only great if you make it every day.

From Texas but in Bossier City, Louisiana.

There is a simple technique for this, cutting both miters at the same time to make the seam perfect.

I tried to type it out, but decided to draw a picture.
