I bought a finished seax blade and made the handle and sheath

Handle: masur birch, black walnut, bronze

Sheath: veg-tan leather, brass

Overall length 22 inches

Yes, that is the traditional method of carry - horizontal, in front, edge up, handle on the dominant side

Cool. Learn something new everyday. What was the purpose of carrying it across the front? Seems like it would get in the way of running and such.
