HawkCreek Report post Posted July 18, 2016 (edited) As I said in my introduction I'm a beginner, I can turn out serviceable but something nice to look at has thus far been lost on me. I made this a few years ago when I really started welding. Works great for carrying tools I use constantly both in a weld shop as well as when I was working on a ranch. I've worn it every day for the last several years with no problems although I did regrease it a few times. I doubled up layers on the belt attachment and that is starting to delaminate but other than that it's still good to go. One of my favorite sheaths, and early one but I got lucky and it fits just right. Here's a dual retention sheath I made. It was a sort of design as you go thing. Couple .308 magazine pouches I tried. One on the left was my first, I was unhappy with it so I made the one on the right. Cross draw sheath for another custom knife. I made it too tight so it's near impossible to draw the knife when on a belt. It'll loosen up with use but I just don't use it much at all. This last one was to see if I could make a pouch style sheath for a knife with a guard. Worked fine but since it was a prototype I figured there would be several do overs and as such didn't design it with any sort of belt attachment. But at least it keeps the knife safe. Some quick roses I tried. Was a fast project but still taught me a thing or two. Well thanks for looking. Constructive criticism is welcome as I'm here to learn!
