This was my first attempt, and for the most part I'm pretty pleased with the results. At the moment I'm a bit limited on the size of design I can do because of the material that I'm using. silverwingit Report post Posted July 28, 2016 Looking good, Chris. What are you using to actually make the impressions? That stamp's too big for a maul. An arbor press or an hydraulic press? builderofstuff Report post Posted July 28, 2016 Hey Michelle, thanks for the compliment. I use an arbor press with all my stamps, the ones I make and buy. I just bought a Harbor Freight mini hydraulic shop press specifically for pressing my maker's mark. My 1/2-ton arbor press just wasn't cutting it for the chrome-tan leather I've been using because I have to keep it under pressure for the impression to hold. Been working great.
