Members gmace99 Posted October 2, 2016 Members Report Posted October 2, 2016 This is my nephew Kieran making his first bag. He has made a dog lead for his dog and a bracelet for his mum. He asked if he could make a bag. He has never operated a sewing machine before this bag. If he gets some strength in his arms I might let him make a saddle one day. This video shows the pattern and how to make the bag it might be useful to someone, Quote www.uksaddlery.com Saddlery training courses in Dunoon Scotland UK.
Contributing Member JLSleather Posted October 4, 2016 Contributing Member Report Posted October 4, 2016 (edited) That little fella is lookin' good! Confident - which is awesome in itself. Good to see the young ones learnin' and doin' -- not to mention an early work ethic. The accent is heavy enough it takes me a bit to follow it - but he probly say the same thing about me. That's one for the leather portfolio AND the family album. Makes a complete bag, without dragging out a video into a tv series, and made it for his Mum. Well done, youngster! Members gmace99 Posted October 4, 2016 Author Members Report Posted October 4, 2016 I will tell him what you said JL . He did another video that day showing how to make the bracelet. I might post it later. Then again I can't have him out doing me on my videos. I think he wants to do some other videos, If I get time I will let him do some. I think it is good encouragement for other youngsters and beginning adults. Quote www.uksaddlery.com Saddlery training courses in Dunoon Scotland UK.
