Rublackett Report post Posted November 11, 2016 Any advice for starting an etsy shop? I've started and I have 1 listing so far and I've had about 80 views in my first week. I'm remaining optimistic for the next few months.
sharkeyfinn Report post Posted November 11, 2016 hi rub, im on etsy too, i have a friend who does pyrography/etching on wood etc, and her advice was to have at least 60 + listings to be taken seriously as a seller, she made 40 grand from etching stuff on hammers etc :-) . i have around 50 items at the moment and i average 2 likes and 50 views per day, 80 views in a week is fair going for a single item, so get busy and get noticed lol ;-)
JerseyFirefighter Report post Posted November 12, 2016 Take good photos... use the tag section aggressively for each listing.... and of course some sort of media presence to help drive customers to etsy beyond just the average searcher. Etsy helped facilitate initial sales due to their customer base... but at least in my business goals the next step moving my custom work from etsy a soon to be finished website..and leave etsy for quick in stock items that can also push my name branding wise.
