Members LEB18 Posted December 10, 2016 Members Report Posted December 10, 2016 Hey everybody, wanted to share a picture of my first go at a guitar strap. Overall, I am fairly pleased with the outcome, but I'm sure could make some improvements in the future. I made my own pattern for this project. It is made from 8/9 leather and has a soft pigskin lining on the back. Quote
bikermutt07 Posted December 10, 2016 Report Posted December 10, 2016 Good job. Quote I'm not paying 80 bucks for a belt!!! It's a strip of leather. How hard could it be? 4 years and 3 grand later.... I have a belt I can finally live with. Stitching is like gravy, it's only great if you make it every day. From Texas but in Bossier City, Louisiana.
Members CaptQuirk Posted December 10, 2016 Members Report Posted December 10, 2016 Very nice work! I particularly like the stitching. It may not be necessary, but it just adds another detail. Did you do it with a machine, or spend hours stitching by hand? I remember doing a gunbelt by hand, while watching a mini marathon on tv. Quote
Members LEB18 Posted December 11, 2016 Author Members Report Posted December 11, 2016 CaptQuirk- It is all hand stitched. You're right, it took quite awhile! Well worth the time though. Quote
