Members Stewart Posted December 28, 2016 Members Report Posted December 28, 2016 Still trying to get the water right. Bought the Pictorial book, but still need right tools. Quote
bikermutt07 Posted December 28, 2016 Report Posted December 28, 2016 It looks good. I'm not much of an artist and less of a carver. But my wife is an art teacher so I observe a lot of pieces. I apologize for not being able to tell you exactly how to fix it, but here is what I see needs to be addressed. The foreground all the way to the Boatman looks great. But, something in the background is causing the image to become flat. Maybe making the water gradually get darker could be the fix, or tapering the trees in the back more. I'm not sure. It's something in the perspective. But it is a great effort. I hope this helps a little. Good luck. Quote
Members Stewart Posted December 28, 2016 Author Members Report Posted December 28, 2016 Thank 07, was going to paint fading trees but as age goes so does mind. It's the perspective. A shore line ? At that point it was a matter of if I could pull it off or not mess the rest up. kind of going to address that in the next one. Quote
bikermutt07 Posted December 29, 2016 Report Posted December 29, 2016 I think it's fine, really. I just have an eye for catching those things. I wish I had the talent to correct them. I'm sure you will improve. Be proud. You made it and that's definitely more than I did. Quote
