the gafer Report post Posted January 4, 2017 Hi all I have been wetting my edges of the bridle leather burnishing them then putting beez wax on and rubbing that in but sometimes the edges go fluffy afterwards say a week or so but I was thinking wetting the leather would make it go fluffy so what if I just used beez wax and burnish that in what would this work like. Many thanks kev
bikermutt07 Report post Posted January 4, 2017 Are you sanding the edges? If not the fluff will always return. I sand mine quite a bit, then lightly singe the fluff with a lighter. Then burnish, and repeat as necessary till it all lays down. If you are talking about bag straps, I understand it's near impossible to get the fluff to stay gone. All the stretching and pulling makes it hard to have a lasting smooth edge. Take all of this with a grain of salt for I still consider myself a novice.
