Members Stewart Posted January 16, 2017 Members Report Posted January 16, 2017 Well taking a picture of what yu are doing shows what needs to be fixed.I am leaving the background as is. touching up the beveling and paint than I will seal. A das of red is needed on the other wing. Quote
Members DJole Posted January 21, 2017 Members Report Posted January 21, 2017 I second your notion of taking a picture to find out what you still need to do! It's amazing how we can look right at a project, spending hours on it, and miss something that should be obvious! I bet taking pictures at every stage of the project might help catch my problems while I can still fix them! As for your blackbird, yes, I think leaving the background alone is the right thing to do. Also, the dye on the cattail looks unfinished, kind of blotchy. Is that a deliberate design choice? Quote \D. Jole \ --> <http://djole.altervista.org/djole/Publications/Leather/Lindex.htm>
Members Stewart Posted January 23, 2017 Author Members Report Posted January 23, 2017 DJole, left the background like it is. Painted the other wing. The cattail, was unintentional. Than again it does add something. In nature there is variations in color on them. Quote
