Members tmartin38 Posted January 23, 2017 Members Report Posted January 23, 2017 I'm relatively new to leather making and hoping to get some guidance - I want to ensure there is no rub off from dying on the underside of my leather piece (it will be used for a vest) is there a finishing coat I can put on the backside that will prevent this from happening? Moderator immiketoo Posted January 27, 2017 Moderator Report Posted January 27, 2017 Any lacquer finish like neat lac, saddle lac, wyosheen or wood brushing lacquer is about as sealed as you can get. Buffing excess dye with a piece of sheep wool before finishing will help tremendously. Quote Learnleather.com
