Members Cyclist2 Posted March 25, 2017 Members Report Posted March 25, 2017 I see Tandy has Eco-Flo dyes and waterstains. What is the difference? They are both water based. I also use acrylic paint that my wife had around, seems to work OK. Is the Eco-Flo cova color any different? Thanks! Quote

Paints sit on top of the surface of the leather. They apply have different consistencies and you will apply them differently. The Eco-Flo cova color is essentially an acrylic paint, although I think there are some other organic compounds thrown in because it will grow mold if stored/sealed improperly. High quality acrylic paints will work as well, although I believe the leather-specific paints are made to be a bit more flexible. Expand Edited March 30, 2017 by Beret Quote
