Members hwhleather Posted March 1, 2017 Members Report Posted March 1, 2017 I have been reading and commenting on here for a while but I have never posted my work on here and I figure it is about time. I mainly make holsters but I also make sheaths and I have recently made a few wallets. Feel free to critique my work, I love hearing honest opinions, thanks for looking! Quote
bikermutt07 Posted March 1, 2017 Report Posted March 1, 2017 That all looks great. The only thing I'll add is keep working towards refining your stitching and burnishing. Don't worry, I'm in the same boat. Keep having fun. Quote I'm not paying 80 bucks for a belt!!! It's a strip of leather. How hard could it be? 4 years and 3 grand later.... I have a belt I can finally live with. Stitching is like gravy, it's only great if you make it every day. From Texas but in Bossier City, Louisiana.
Contributing Member JLSleather Posted March 1, 2017 Contributing Member Report Posted March 1, 2017 You stay at it, youngster! You'll want to work on burnishing, and I don't know if you maybe want to space the stitches a bit further apart. Still, you got some good ideas about shape and style, and already in the shop means definitely more than a toe in the water. Well done! Quote "Observation is 9/10 of the law."
