Members TomG Posted March 6, 2017 Members Report Posted March 6, 2017 Some time back, I found a method of cutting long, continuous straps from Latigo. It involved rounding the corners on a side and cutting non-stop around the perimeter. But I don't remember the details such as how to straighten the curves, limits to the curved portions, etc. Anyone have the info? I've searched here for over an hour with no luck. Quote

How wide of a strap are you talking about? Quote

Members TomG Posted March 7, 2017 Author Members Report Posted March 7, 2017 I seem to recall they said to wet them with saddle soap and do what you said. I'm trying to figure out how long a strap I can get out of a side and minimize my waste. Quote
MADMAX22 Posted March 7, 2017 Report Posted March 7, 2017 This is obviously for kangaroo lace that is much thinner but probably the same overall concept. https://youtu.be/w7LV8IHU7lw Cheaney had a video for latigo lace but his cuts are pretty much just straight cuts. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9OebTP5cY3g Have you tried talking to any whip makers about how they go about doing it? May wanna hop on down to the subforum. Quote
