Members Chad Prince Posted March 15, 2017 Members Report Posted March 15, 2017 Ok, this may be crazy but, has anyone used car wax such as Turtle Wax on pre-dyed leather? If so, what kind of results do you get? Chad Quote
Contributing Member fredk Posted March 15, 2017 Contributing Member Report Posted March 15, 2017 I haven't but a client did. He showed me what a really nice shine he got. A week later he was back; the wax had dried out and was flaking off making his item look like it was falling apart. It took me ages to remove that wax and refinish the item. Turtle wax is not meant to be used on anything flexible, just unbendable surfaces like the hood or trunk lid of a car Quote

Members Bolt Vanderhuge Posted March 16, 2017 Members Report Posted March 16, 2017 Try some Renaissance Wax. It stays flexible and is not oily. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Renaissance_Wax Quote
