IngleGunLeather Posted March 21, 2017 Report Posted March 21, 2017 Those prints look really good. I'm unfamiliar with the process though. I noticed these aren't molded. Is that by choice or can these not be wet molded? Quote
Members TonyRV2 Posted March 21, 2017 Members Report Posted March 21, 2017 If I'm not mistaken, the process is referred to as dye sublimation and can be applied to other materials besides leather. Like many processes I understand there is quite a learning curve to it. Quote
Members OLDNSLOW Posted March 21, 2017 Members Report Posted March 21, 2017 if it is dye sublimation it has to be tricky on leather, when I was doing it on cups, cloth, it took high temp presses to transfer the print to the material. I am still curious I think like many others as to how it is done. Quote
Members justingschneider Posted March 22, 2017 Author Members Report Posted March 22, 2017 this is direct print digital printing. Yes it can be wet molded. I don't mold them until someone has purchased them as they fit multiple guns. Quote
