Members Brianm77 Posted March 27, 2017 Members Report Posted March 27, 2017 (edited) would anyone know where to find creasers similar to these? I like the girth of the blades over the little tiny stuff you mostly see. Thanks, Brian edit - the plain ones, not the adjustable one. Edited March 27, 2017 by Brianm77 Quote
bikermutt07 Posted March 27, 2017 Report Posted March 27, 2017 Wuta has 3 sizes available on Amazon. 29.00 a piece I believe. Quote I'm not paying 80 bucks for a belt!!! It's a strip of leather. Members Brianm77 Posted March 27, 2017 Author Members Report Posted March 27, 2017 I saw the ones on amazon. My only concern with those was the shape of the handle. Looked to me like they were not going to be comfortable to use with that huge flat spot on the end of the handle. But I find it hard to believe those are the only ones. Quote
bikermutt07 Posted March 27, 2017 Report Posted March 27, 2017 Well I'm sure there's more. I think you use them in a pull stroke. And that lip is for the pinky. bikermutt07 Posted March 27, 2017 Report Posted March 27, 2017 Cool, I finally ordered the 3.85 pricking irons yesterday. So, in about 3 weeks, I will let you know how they do. Members Brianm77 Posted March 27, 2017 Author Members Report Posted March 27, 2017 Lol. Maybe I can get you to stamp a few lines on a couple pieces of scrap and send it to me. Quote
Members Brianm77 Posted March 27, 2017 Author Members Report Posted March 27, 2017 If you are interested I could do the same with those craft sha ones I was talking about. Quote
bikermutt07 Posted March 28, 2017 Report Posted March 28, 2017 I could do that. As a matter of fact I kind of went on a picking, stitching tangent after you sent me the serabraid. I now have (cheap from Amazon) 3mm chisels 5mm chisels 3.38 pricking irons 3.85 pricking irons I have a set of 3mm chisels on on the slow boat from wuta. Then finally the other day I broke down and ordered his 3.85 pricking irons (the nice ones). So, we shall see. The tests I did showed that I may never use 3mm. That is small small. Wuta suggests .33-.55mm thread with those, I think. Quote I'm not paying 80 bucks for a belt!!! It's a strip of leather. How hard could it be? 4 years and 3 grand later....
