So I haven't done any leather working since I was in the scouts about 30 years ago and I forgot how much I loved it.

Well here is my first project, my brother and father are both use a black powder rifle for deer hunting.  So I am using an old Celtic Pouch design that I found and am changing it up for my needs.  The original pouch took, leather and laced the whole thing together, which while not looking bad, did not give me the look that I want.  So I will be taking and hand stitching mine from the inside and then turning it right side out.  The belt loops will be riveted in place and since the main pouch material is milled leather, about 6mm thick, I have some rigid pieces of leather to go on the inside of the pouch so the rivets will hold better.  The button for closure will be deer antler that was given to me by my brother.  I hope they enjoy this gift.

The first set of pics I am posting is after the first hour or so of work,  I am about to dye the leather now and let it dry.  I will post more pics as I complete each step.  Please feel free to give me any feedback, after all, this is my first project and I am sure there are plenty of you all that can teach me a thing or two.
