Jordanball33 Report post Posted May 9, 2017 Let me start by saying I am going to order a binder probably from Atlanta attachment, but I need something faster. I need a cylinder arm machine and it's harder to order than I thought. I have two I want but the companies are slow to get back to me. So I may expand my search and buy a different cylinder arm machine and order my own attachment. But I figure that takes a few weeks to get the material to them and get the binder all set up. I'm just curious if anyone has pictures of something binded using one of the many universal binding attachments I see all over the place. Also so if anyone has a cylinder arm maching they wanna sell get with me. Medium weight preferably as I do a lot of canvas/leather mixed work. And if you already have a machine set up for binding even better.
Gregg From Keystone Sewing Report post Posted May 9, 2017 My opinion? Wait the necessary time to put something together from Atlanta. Most generic binders are not going to have mounting specific to a cylinder bed machine. And it's not only you or the one company attachment company who are not moving as fast as you would like, I got a call this morning about a swing arm ordered that has yet to arrive from a different supplier. Jordanball33 Report post Posted May 9, 2017 No what I was trying to say about the time is that there's a machine from a company that I've said send me a quote/invoice on and that and let me buy it, that seems to be taking to long so I'm looking elsewhere. I assume it's because they are busy selling multiples and I'm just trying to buy one machine. I'm not mad at them at all. I just need to send my money to someone and get the process going. I respect the time atlanta attachment will take. He never gave me a timeline, but I was again just assuming that it will take some time to set up properly and I'm ok with that. No big deal there. Trox Report post Posted May 9, 2017 Kwokhing.com has binders that fit both cylinder and flatbeds. I bought a couple for my Pfaff 345 cylinder bed machine that works great (90 degree mounting) heavy leather binders that also fit my 441 machine I necessary. Very happy with these binders, can post a pic of my setup later. (I'm not selling anything) Tor
