What appears to be a Seiko CH 8B has popped up on cl local to me. Per the seller's description, the machine has a binding attachment on it, but can be converted back to regular stitching. The head is clearly not attached to it's table, so a dry run is not likely. I think the seller is asking too much (2900.00 US) and I don't know what must be replaced to restore it as a conventional stitcher suitable for leather. Any thoughts on fair price?

Sure looks like a great find. With the name recognition and general respect I give them its an excellent build. It may have model tricks of its own. So hopefully some other owners can jump in the conversation for a buyer on a mission :)

good day
