Dags3777 Posted January 8, 2009 Report Posted January 8, 2009 Is their any way to do a two couloured double thong around the edge of an item. I usually do the double cordavan thong. Thanks in advance. Darryl Quote When I was a kid I used to pray every night for a new bicycle. Then I realised God doesn't work that way, so I stole one and prayed for forgiveness.
TomSwede Posted January 8, 2009 Report Posted January 8, 2009 There is the 4 thong mexican roundbraid in Bruce Grants encyclopedia of rawhide and leather braiding, page 298, 299. You can use 4 tones or two tones in pairs. Some say this one is easier to do than the single thong roundbraid but I've haven't gotten around to try it yet. Dags3777 Posted January 9, 2009 Author Report Posted January 9, 2009 Do you mean like this? Thats it my friend, does it have a special name, I have scoured the various books I own, with no referance. Any help would be appreciated, I have to do a triangle fishing seat, finished in Blue & Red. Thanks Darryl Quote When I was a kid I used to pray every night for a new bicycle. Members Rawhide Posted January 9, 2009 Members Report Posted January 9, 2009 It's actuall pretty easy. I learned how to do it from this book. It has much a better pictorial explination than I can give in words. It is a double loop lace just as normal, except you alternated colors. Quote Marlon

Are you talking about the "Lacing and Stitching for Leathercraft" book from Tandy? Yes, that is a really good book. Easy to understand and well illustrated. Thanks, Marlon!
