Hi Folks,

does anyone have any advice for how to stitch this moc toe on this style of work boot?   My understanding is that the vamp is one piece and where you see the white stitch around the toe, that is just a fold, not two separate pieces.

thanks

I just sold an Adler that does this job. It is a twin needle with a single bobbin and the tension can be adjusted to make the raise more or less. It was a pretty good machine in that it can be a single needle or a couple of different spaced twin needles. I can get the model number if you want to track one down.

Adler also made a variant on the 105 (105-25MO?) designed for these jobs. It's a single needle with differential feed (the walking foot and feed dog can be adjusted to feed at different rates) to either make a smooth or ruffled moccasin toe. I've seen a few of these come up on eBay UK. I think they can be adjusted to do 'normal' jobs suited to a 105 so it could be a very useful machine, but I don't think they have reverse.
