jimi Report post Posted July 30, 2017 Hi everyone, here is our new lodger. had to kick out the two singer´s and replace them with this one. (they are packed away at the moment) this came with a table and motor which i left with the owner as it was without vaccume. it was €400 and as you can see it is not new but i think it was a good price. it will need a couple of parts which seem to be worn, like the pins on the roller feed arm and possibly the small crown and worm as there is a lot of play?? the roller looks very tired but it seems to work. the stone needs cleaning and i think that´s about it, but it works great at the moment. i had to clean it a little and change the knife feed button as it was worn. the feed was very stiff so they probably used pliers to move it and thus wrecking it. anyway there was a new knob in the box. so i oiled the feed and cleaned as far as possible and now it moves a lot freely. small belt is cracked so that is another on to change. the stone pulley looks old but again it is working fine. a little wear on the top plate where the guide goes and non original knob for the guide. the knife protector seems to be missing a piece of metal that held it in when inserted?? not sure, so cardboard under there at the moment haha! this all seems to match with my high tech fortuna stringer table . here are some pictures, i am hoping to do some serious wallet´s in the future so i am sure once i get the hang of it this will prove very useful. any comments welcome about anything i have missed or types of feed rollers and feet combinations. this has a rubber roller with a springed scraper installed and feeds pretty good what i have tried so far, some chrome tanned and potro (horse).
