Members silvermine Posted August 29, 2017 Members Report Posted August 29, 2017 Landis 16 AHeavy HEAVY DUTY Industrial Sewing Machine. For Saddlery, Saddle Making, Horse Tack, Harness and thick leather applications. Weighs. A LOT!!! Will take several people- more than 2. Probably 4 to move it onto a truck. Freight charges the responsibility of the purchaser. Looking at other posts it is possible. But, best for a SW area purchaser to make the drive to pick it up with a tommy gate.600 CASH FIRM. Pick up South Valley area of Albuquerque, NM. Brokering for a rancher. This rancher is offline and is putting only a modest effort into trying to sell it. Primarily by word of mouth. This rancher can be sweet or cantankerous, depending on the day. Very old school with some great tales. He doesn't hear too well. He says if no buyer then to the scrap heap with it. Hate to see it trashed. I said I would give it a one time shout out to the leather craft world. This forum seemed the best place. This is from an estate and we purchased smaller items like shoe lasts and leather pelts. We don't have room or time to get this sucker up and running. Although I would like to get into holster making our current needs are more for a Landis model 12 sole stitcher. Serious inquiries only please because the rancher can be hard to get a hold of, he may one day soon decide that today's the day for scrapping it. I would hate to see our efforts go to waste. She ain't pretty but I am told it was up and running as of a few years ago. It came out of a midwest Amish auction. Please see pics for condition. I have no idea about throat size or if all the awls and needles are there. I had to take the photos on the quick. It's priced at a rehab/parts price as far as I know. A quick youtube video shows wow, quite complicated. I'm barely getting attuned to our HD singer. Thanks for looking. Maybe you can use this machine. Drop us a line dostengo (at) gmail dot com. or reply here as I will check for update for limited time.
bikermutt07 Posted August 30, 2017 Report Posted August 30, 2017 Follow him to the dump. Lol Good luck, hope it sells. I'm not paying 80 bucks for a belt!!! It's a strip of leather. How hard could it be? 4 years and 3 grand later.... I have a belt I can finally live with. Stitching is like gravy, it's only great if you make it every day. From Texas but in Bossier City, Louisiana.
