Calf Skin in Australia (NSW)

Hi Everyone,

Posting for the first time. I'm interested in having a go at making some leather goods. My first projects are to hopefully make a wallet and then to cover a Bible.

For the wallet I'm undecided what leather to go with, but for the book cover I'd like to go calf skin.

My issue is I'm having difficulty locating leather suppliers in Australia, especially for smaller quantities.

Could anyone shed some light with some ideas for me?

Try www.simonmartinwhips.com. He is based in Tasmania.  He stocks veg. tanned kangaroo and also has thinner cow hide (which aren't showing on his website - but I know he has them :)). Simon is very helpful and happy to hunt around for something if it isn't in stock.  Kangaroo is really good for wallets.  I only buy small quantities.  Mention that Leah from Perth sent you.
