Members zaynexpetty Posted September 13, 2017 Members Report Posted September 13, 2017 Hello all, I'm making my second batch of vinegaroon and I can't remember if I used Apple Cider Vinegar or White Vinegar the first time around. I also don't remember what size of bottle I got, and the ratio of wool to vinegar. I bought a gallon of apple cider vinegar. Will this work? Would white vinegar work better? How many pads of steel wool for 1 gallon? Thanks again, Zayne Quote
Members YinTx Posted September 19, 2017 Members Report Posted September 19, 2017 I generally use the white vinegar. Can't say how many pads for 1 gallon, I generally use 1-2 pads for .5 - 1 quart.. so I imagine extrapolate from there... YinTx Quote
Members Harry Marinakis Posted November 27, 2017 Members Report Posted November 27, 2017 I've used a gallon of 6% cleaning vinegar with 1-1/2 pads of steel wool. Keep adding a bit of steel wool until it won't dissolve any more. This gives you a saturated solution. Then let it sit for another month with the cap off to oxidize. Quote
