3-d embossing

where I can get a video or lessons on 3-d embossing? like stretching leather with tool on flesh side to create 3-d image on grain side....you tube has nothing....very hard to get info on this technique...thanks so much

I think Tandy has a video on this. George Hurst used a stylus with a large ball on the end, cased the leather then used the stylus on the back side. I came across this one day but can't remember where.

Before he did this he had cut out the outline with a swivel knife and used a beveler. From the back side he could see the outline of his tooling so he used a marker and outlined it on the back side so he could see where to put the stylus.
