Abbey England brass buckles quality

Hi,

 

just a short question about Abbey England and their solid brass buckles.

 

A lot of you guys recommended Abbey due to their high quality and great range of products they offer. That's why I made my first order from them some months ago, and because they ship to non professional leatherworkers like me.

 

Most of the things I received actually had a decent quality, heavy and solid brass, not highly polished, but that is absolutely fine for me.

 

But most of the buckles I've ordern had a problem with their pin. They were misaligned in the part were they are bended around the outer buckle part. Don't know how to describe it exactly since english is not my native language, but I've added a picture.

 

It was ok for me to practice making belts, but it's not the quality I would expect. Have you had similar problems with their buckles?
