Ed in Tx Report post Posted November 17, 2017 I have used camel several times however I can't guarantee it was veg-tan or chrome. Looking at the hide cross section it appears to be veg-tan. If your concern is using it for a holster you would want to use veg-tan cowhide for a base and the camel as the exterior. You can't for camel for a holster using it alone, at least I have never done it. One thing I know for sure it makes some awesome looking boots.
