retiredff Report post Posted November 15, 2017 I don't think I have read this anywhere. Is it necessary to use a strong adhesive like weldwood or barge before double loop braid stitching a wallet or anything with a front/back pieces? I have 1/4" double sided sticky tape. tomsmith85717 Report post Posted November 15, 2017 My fu is glue stitching when you need to. If YOU dont need to glue it, then dont. I also hate those tapes...
retiredff Report post Posted November 15, 2017 Tom- I don't like the glue tape either but if it holds everything together especially on a large piece like a bag it might be worthwhile. Thanks for the reply.
Halitech Report post Posted November 22, 2017 personally I glue or use double sided tape on everything before stitching or lacing
OLDNSLOW Report post Posted November 28, 2017 my son has been making a lot of minimal wallets for his buddies on the sheriffs department and they are all glued before, and I have done the same as I do with everything else we make. Of course it is much harder to do afterwards.
