garypl Posted December 6, 2017 Report Posted December 6, 2017 Welcome! I also began making leather goods for my muzzleloading hobby starting back in the early 70’s. You will find many interesting and informative topics in this forum and there are always people willing to share their experience and expertise with others. Quote Cowboy 4500, Consew 206RB-4
bikermutt07 Posted December 6, 2017 Report Posted December 6, 2017 Welcome aboard. Start in small batches of the same small item. This will give you great yield from your leather while you develop all the techniques. It will give you more time to practice each step. Plus if you botch a few you can keep progressing without starting over. Have fun. Quote I'm not paying 80 bucks for a belt!!! It's a strip of leather. How hard could it be? 4 years and 3 grand later.... I have a belt I can finally live with. Stitching is like gravy, it's only great if you make it every day. From Texas but in Bossier City, Louisiana.
