Members the gafer Posted December 13, 2017 Members Report Posted December 13, 2017 Hi everyone I normally use bridle leather for all my work but the problem I have is its 2mm thick but not as supple as I would like to build a bag so what would be my choice of leather to build a bag must be supple leather I was thinking cow side 1.5mm but not sure so thought I would put out the question what leather do I use ???? Members Nikonmom Posted December 15, 2017 Members Report Posted December 15, 2017 I just made one with garment or upholstery leather and it's too soft. If you want to make a tote, use something with some stiffness to it. I use 4-5 oz. veg tan and it is not too heavy but still keeps its shape. Quote
