Members Jake907 Posted February 5, 2018 Members Report Posted February 5, 2018 This is something I've been working on for several years, I started with the belt and have been adding different sheathes and cases as I need them. Obviously it would be to heavy and awkward to wear it all at once, but I can change what to bring depending on the needs of the occasion, hunting/working/scouting/bushcrafting/hiking. The smaller knife is my go to for camp chores and field dressing, its a Mora Black. The pouch contains a 72hr survival kit. The large knife is a customized BK9. Flap holster is for my .44 Redhawk, and the auto is an XD-.45 Quote -Jake North Country Leather and Wool
Members micktx Posted February 5, 2018 Members Report Posted February 5, 2018 Nice. I did that with my Load Bearing gear while in the military. Great job! I'm going to steal this from you, okay? Quote

Members micktx Posted February 5, 2018 Members Report Posted February 5, 2018 Cool Beaners! Hey, I just noticed, where are you at in Alaska? I spent 35 years up there before moving here to San Antonio, TX. 2 years in North Pole, 20 years in Anchorage, and 13 years in Wasilla. Quote

So I've been leathercrafting my way through it, trying to find things to do indoors. Just now, Carson said: Should get a pair of suspenders I made some but haven't used them yet, so I didn't put them in the original picture. Quote -Jake North Country Leather and Wool

bikermutt07 Posted February 5, 2018 Report Posted February 5, 2018 That's a great bit of kit. Quote I'm not paying 80 bucks for a belt!!! It's a strip of leather. How hard could it be? 4 years and 3 grand later.... I have a belt I can finally live with. Stitching is like gravy, it's only great if you make it every day. From Texas but in Bossier City, Louisiana.
