Members Divrguy Posted March 9, 2018 Members Report Posted March 9, 2018 Just had a quick question about the needle positioner I installed on my Consew. Seems to work fine but will be out of position sometimes. Does it need to be rigid? I.e. tied down so it doesn’t move? Quote
Members Sonydaze Posted March 10, 2018 Members Report Posted March 10, 2018 If the positioner sensor moves around, the needle will change where it stops. It should be fixed so it doesn't move. Quote
Members Divrguy Posted March 10, 2018 Author Members Report Posted March 10, 2018 Okay that must be what’s happening. I guess I can fix the cord to the table to hold it. Quote
Members Sonydaze Posted March 10, 2018 Members Report Posted March 10, 2018 (edited) Servo motors usually come with a bit of a hardware assortment for holding the sensor from moving. Maybe talk to your dealer? It is also preferable to fix the sensor to the head vs. the table as it makes it simpler to be able to flip the head back when required.
